"Hitting escape velocity before pissing off too many people" is a fine mission but the important part is *at least* giving back to humanity as much as you take.
Raising the money from a16z probably helped with accelerating the flywheel of controversy. It's not like they didn't make ridiculous investments in 2021 that they regretted. If you see today's social media + AI attention grabbing on Twitter as it's own bubble, it's be interesting to see if they can really reach escape velocity to make it vs being another BitClout of this time. At the end of the day, I remember when I was 18....
When I started ready this, I was, "wtf? mode" but as I read it all, I'm in "WTF ... this is something I can be sure if it's what I think it is, but I'm pretty sure it is WTF!!!" ... the article/subject probably deserves more and better writing, but I'm glad I saw this and look forward to learning more!
